SMS / Messaging Terms

Effective date: October 14, 2026

These SMS / Messaging Terms ("Messaging Terms") describe the text messaging program (the "Program") operated by Paywall Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") in connection with the CallPayWall product and service ("CallPayWall"). By providing your mobile phone number and consenting to receive messages, or by otherwise opting in as described below, you agree to these Messaging Terms. These Messaging Terms supplement, and are incorporated into, the CallPayWall Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Our messaging program is registered for U.S. Application-to-Person (A2P) 10DLC messaging and is operated in accordance with applicable carrier requirements and CTIA messaging principles.

1. Program Description

1.1 The Program sends transactional and service-related text (SMS) messages relating to CallPayWall, including:

  • one-time verification codes and PINs used to confirm your identity or phone number;
  • account login links and authentication links;
  • call-related notifications, such as alerts about inbound calls that were screened, missed-call and voicemail notices, scheduling confirmations, payment or access notifications, and similar service updates.
  • demo texts to business owners who call the CallPayWall demo line and agree on the call to receive them (up to 4 per demo call: a sample job summary, sample examples for the caller's business, and a sign up link). See our SMS Consent page for the exact consent question.

1.2 The Program is intended to deliver messages you have requested or that are necessary to operate features you use. It is not a marketing or promotional broadcast program.

2. How to Opt In (Consent)

2.1 You provide consent to receive messages from the Program when you take any of the following actions, among others:

  • you add or register your own mobile phone number in CallPayWall (for example, during sign-up or when configuring call handling);
  • you request a verification code, PIN, or login link;
  • you enable a feature that uses SMS notifications;
  • you provide your number and agree to receive messages verbally during a call (your answer, a spoken yes or a key press, is logged with the time it was given), or through the caller portal or our web or mobile interfaces.

2.2 By opting in, you confirm that you are the subscriber or customary user of the phone number provided, or that you are authorized to provide it, and that you consent to receive messages from the Program at that number.

2.3 Consent is not a condition of purchase. You are not required to agree to receive text messages as a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Certain features that rely on SMS (such as code-based verification) may be unavailable if you decline messaging, but you may use alternative methods where offered.

3. Message Frequency

3.1 Message frequency varies and depends on your use of CallPayWall. Messages are recurring and are sent based on triggering events, such as your requests for codes or links and call activity on your account. You may receive multiple messages in connection with a single session or call event.

4. Message and Data Rates

4.1 Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard message and data rates, and any other charges from your carrier, apply to messages you send to or receive from the Program. Check your plan or contact your carrier for details. The Company does not charge a separate fee for the messages themselves, but is not responsible for carrier charges.

5. How to Opt Out and Get Help

5.1 STOP. Cancel. You can cancel the Program at any time by texting STOP to the number from which you receive our messages. After you send STOP, we will send a one-time confirmation message and then stop sending Program messages to that number. You may also receive STOP confirmation through replies such as END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT where supported by the carrier.

5.2 Because some messages (such as verification codes and login links) are necessary to operate certain features, opting out may prevent you from using those features. To resume messages after opting out, opt in again as described in Section 2.

5.3 HELP. Support. For help, text HELP to the number from which you receive our messages, or contact us at support@callpaywall.com (support@callpaywall.com). In response to HELP, we will provide the Program name and support contact information.

6. Supported Carriers and Delivery

6.1 The Program is supported on major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, and many regional and smaller carriers and their affiliates. Carrier support may change over time and is not guaranteed.

6.2 Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and is outside our control. We do not guarantee that messages will be delivered, or delivered on time. Neither the Company nor any wireless carrier is responsible for messages that are delayed or not delivered.

7. Your Responsibilities

7.1 You must provide a phone number that you are authorized to use, and you must notify us and update your account if your number changes or is reassigned, so that messages are not sent to a new subscriber.

7.2 You agree not to use the Program for any unlawful or abusive purpose and to comply with all applicable laws, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and carrier rules, when you provide numbers or enable notifications for others.

8. Privacy

8.1 Information we collect through the Program, including your phone number and messaging interactions, is handled in accordance with the CallPayWall Privacy Policy. Mobile information will not be shared or sold to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Please review the Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Changes to These Messaging Terms

9.1 We may update these Messaging Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, and your continued participation in the Program after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Messaging Terms.
